TWELVE BOOK ROMANTISODES
First about my Romantisodes ZODIAC WOMEN. Everyone wants to know how the characters came to be. The answer is that I sit down to write and have only the slightest idea about where I am headed and who is traveling with me. The characters spring to life on their own, and that is why I am so fond of them.
I began writing when I was ten. To have a writing career has been a life dream so your readership means the world to me. I have always been the funny one. Something of a class clown I got in trouble instigating “fun” things with my partner in crime Dan. We were made to sit outside class and very far apart from one another frequently as punishment. We did audacious things like fill the emergency water tank at school with Cool Aid and then throw a party where everyone was invited for drinks. Neither one of us had the sense to realize that we were going to get caught. We were just too busy laughing our 10 year old butts off.
Laughter is important to me and my exuberance has extended to my life and the belief that laughter can get you through some dark times.
I am not athletic like the rest of my family. However, I do have an honest to goodness natural born and inexplicable talent for throwing basketballs backward. I don’t know how or why this happens. I don’t think about it I just run around the court and suddenly shoot. Full net. Boom!
I love animals. I have two dogs. Stevie the dog who is co-owned by Mackenzie and Hudson in my books is real. I share his idiosyncrasies throughout the book series and as any parent of a Soft coated Wheaten Terrier knows they are riddled with them. That is just one of the reasons they are such adorable and interesting pets.
I paint but prefer to write. I Belly Danced and while I did not trip on my scarves like Hudson in her Dance of the Seven Veils I did have a career ending mishap. I was performing in the main showroom of the Las Vegas Hilton (where before the show I snuck into the dressing room where Elvis used to prepare for his on stage entrance) and did wonderfully well with the Camel Walk, the hip-shaking and shimmies that came so easily to me. Then like the others I sat in the background while the two main dancers took the stage. They danced on and on, each trying to out-perform one another. One danced with a snake and I wasn’t even scarred. No, I was too busy trying to figure out how I was going to get up as my legs had gone to sleep. I couldn’t move. Finally, after the show ended I was lifted up by the security guys. I spent most of the night laughing the show with my mom.
Compared to so many others I have been to the moon and back because I love adventure and don’t have the sense to really weigh the consequences. Every new city or new country I visit I fall in geographical love and want to move there.
So, while I can tell you that professionally I have authored three astrological books and have been published in 14 languages, (most recently in China) I think you needed to know the other things about me more. I am a certified professional astrologer and I have been on hundreds of radio shows and a few television programs as well.
So I guess you can say that I am just like you with foibles and quirks and rising and falling in life. As I always tell my astrology clients’ life isn’t a straight line rather like a landscape with peaks and valleys.
That applies to romance to. Here’s a little something I wrote that might simplify romance for you.
Once upon a lifetime, fate tempted you. You could not resist. You fell in love then, just like now, with the same excitement and wonder. One spoke, the other thought, and your thoughts became twins. The best is yet to come, Carolyn
